2019 AWARD
On 19 November 2019 Jenny was awarded a Gold Molteno Medal by the Cape 300 Foundation “For lifetime services to South African literature”.
Fellow gold medallists were Dr Brian Huntley, renowned botanist and former Chief Executive of the SA National Biodiversity Institute at Kirstenbosch, and Emeritus Professor Les Underhill, for his applications of statistics in the biological sciences, particularly ornithology and ecology.
the franschhoek press is an imprint under which I have published a limited family edition of The Moor Diaries 1890 – 1916, and assisted the University of the Western Cape to publish This Is My Land, writing from the UWC CREATES Programme.
